What is it?
The May Wong Social Centre, which is managed by the Chinese Women’s Association, provides full-day programmes (9am to 5pm) for senior citizens to socialise and be active. It is an ideal place for them to be taken care of when their family members or main care-givers are occupied for a number of hours.
Who is this for?
Senior citizens aged 60 years old and above are cared for at the Centre.
What does it provide?
- Professional care by a full-time supervisor, nurse and three care-givers.
- Visits by a medical doctor to take care of the elderly
- Transportation services.
- Daily meals and refreshments for lunch, dinner and coffee breaks.
- Activities like exercises, craftwork, video shows, mahjong, cards, bingo, etc
- Programmes like Brain Gym, Line Dancing, Tai-Chi, Reiki Therapy, Personal Grooming, Karaoke, etc.
- Social events, entertainment and excursions to places of interests
- Specially organised Weekly Saturday Luncheons.
