What is it?

The Henderson Senior Citizens’ Home (HSCH) is a community service which provides Residential and Respite Care for senior citizens. It is managed and funded by the Chinese Women’s Association since 1978.

 

Who is this for?

HSCH is for ambulant elderly residents, who are free to come and go. Residents are encouraged to be independent and they do so by keeping their rooms clean and cooking for themselves.

 

What does it provide?

a. Residential Care

• Supervised and sheltered housing
• Facilities in the May Wong Social Centre and the May Wong Lifestyle Centre
• Numerous activities and programmes organised be the Centres
• Entertainment and excursions organised by charitable organisations
• Close proximity to a market and food centre.

b. Respite Care

• HSCH takes in and cares for elderly boarders to aid their families temporarily
• Short-term care of the elderly for two to four week
